A brand new season’s racing at Barbury starts this December with the unique Barbury International fixture, pitting the best of Irish horses and riders against their British counterparts for the only time on a UK Point-to-Point course in the season.
The International is the first of three fixtures this winter and spring, as the season gathers momentum into the traditional start period in February. The Vine & Craven fixture on February 9th and Tedworth on April 5th both celebrate the best and most competitive racing of this amateur division in the spectacular surroundings of the Barbury Estate.
Barbury is home to top flight equestrian sport at every level. Home to top Jumps trainer Alan King, and within hailing distance of his namesake Neil King at Burderop and Emma Lavelle at Ogbourne St George, Barbury Racecourse is at the centre of a renaissance of Jumps success in north Wiltshire, in which Pointing plays a central part.
