2025 Bookastall Crafter Insights Report

If you’ve ever packed up your stock, wrestled with a gazebo, and hoped the rain would hold off – this one’s for you.

The UK’s craft scene is changing fast. Behind every handmade card, resin coaster, and hand-stitched tote bag is a business owner making smart decisions about where to sell, what to charge, and how to stand out. But how do those decisions really get made?

That’s what we wanted to find out.
This spring, Bookastall asked over 60 crafters and event organisers across the UK to share how they plan, price, and promote their craft fair experiences – and the results were fascinating.

We uncovered clear trends in how far stallholders are willing to travel, what they expect for their stall fees, and which platforms they rely on most to promote their business. We also spotted some surprising differences between what organisers think stallholders want and what they actually value most.

It turns out, some of the smallest details – like whether tea and power are included, or how clearly event information is shared – can make the biggest difference to satisfaction and sales.

The full Bookastall UK Crafter Insights Report 2025 explores:

  • How much stallholders are really willing to pay
  • What makes a fair feel “worth it”
  • The marketing channels that matter most in 2025
  • The biggest opportunities for both stallholders and organisers

And perhaps most importantly, it highlights a shared truth: when organisers and crafters work in partnership – communicating clearly, promoting actively, and creating a welcoming environment – everyone wins.
